Statement of Faith
-
There is one eternal God, existing in three distinct persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. God is unchanging in holiness, justice, wisdom, and love.
-
The Bible, comprising the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired Word of God, without error, and the ultimate authority in all matters of belief and practice.
-
All humans are created in the image of God, with inherent dignity and worth, but are sinful and in need of salvation.
-
Jesus Christ, fully God and fully man, lived a sinless life, died for our sins, rose from the dead, and ascended to heaven, where He intercedes for believers.
-
Salvation is a gift of God's grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone, resulting in justification, adoption into God's family, and eternal life.
-
The Holy Spirit convicts, regenerates, indwells, and empowers believers, leading them to Christlikeness and empowering them for service.
-
The universal Church consists of all believers, with local churches gathering for worship, teaching, sacraments, and mutual care, expressing unity through love and faithfulness to the gospel.
-
Baptism and the Lord's Supper are symbols of the gospel, signifying union with Christ and remembrance of His sacrifice, received by faith.
-
Jesus Christ will return in glory, judging the world and ushering believers into eternal joy, while the wicked will face eternal punishment. God will ultimately renew all things for His glory.
